Results: At Karmøy Hundeklubb's club show in December 2002, there was a special class where dogs who can't participate in shows got to show their tricks. Chico competed against five mixed breed dogs and won the title Karmøy's "smartest" dog!

Knows how to:- Stand still - Sit - Lie down - Sit on place (my left side) - Walk by my side - Stay - Collect a toy and bring it back to my hand - May I have your paw - Bye (wave) - Beg (sit up on his hind legs) - Roll over - Play dead (but his tail is very much alive)
- Dance (stands up on his hind legs and turns)
- Point out someone's nose - Find out what I'm thinking of (for example my right thumb)

Description of our beloved family dog:

A summer day in 1996 we got our first four legged, fuzzy friend. Suddenly we had a family member that always is happy and wants your company, the perfect companion.

Chico is the family's first dog. Together with him I have learned how to care for a dog. He lives home in Karmøy with my parents. When I'm home he is my responsibility, but because of my absent time we are not as close as we used to be. Chico misses the brown spot around his right eye (a so called "pirate"). Because of that he can't be shown or be used in breeding. But that wasn't why we bought him anyway. Chico is social and likes to meet people and other dogs, but is very much connected to our family (his pack). Among dogs, also ours, he is calm, and do not like trouble. Even if Chico has been called "the old man" since we got Javito, when he was three and a half years old, (while Javito was "the pup" until he was four…), and he likes to relax, especially on someone's lap, he still enjoys our walks. When he decides to play, he is the one who runs first, followed by the others. Chico loves food, and because of that, he is easy to train in obedience and agility for example. He'll do "just anything" to get a treat, but is smart and doesn't bother to do something if he doesn't get a reward for his effort. Nowadays he enjoys being the family's grand old man. Both he and Hobby are "pack animals". They enjoy sleeping next to each other. Still I think Chico's favourite place to sleep is on dad's lap.
